CHRISTMAS SOCIAL EVENING

XMAS WREATH

A score or so of the Association's members attended the scheduled Christmas get-together in the dining annexe of the Borough Council Offices on the evening of Thursday 14th December.

Chairman John greeted us and outlined his carefully prepared plans for the evening of festivities, whilst his wife Dinah stayed behind her camera to capture the details.
First on the agenda of fun was a walkabout Quiz - the challenge being to identify People and Places from far and wide meticulously made into collages by John and Dinah.

A REMBRANDT?

"That HAS to be a Rembrandt" says Hanneke "look at the brush strokes" as Jo and Dick ponder the possibilities of Vermeer and Gaugin. (In the event she was right!).

"I never forget a face" says Rex using his practised eye........"but on the other hand, I wonder if it's....."

Rex was the winner of the Marathon brain test and received due congratulations
as well as his prize.

All it requires is a steady hand and a careful aim

A Good old Cuppa

So nice to have tea   Any more tea anyone?

and cries of "A Good ol' Cuppa"

Christmas Spirit
All the way from our friends in Clarksville (many thanks Lynn!) - "For my next trick" says John to Eric "here, have some finest Bourbon, mixed with best chocolate, you're not driving tonight."

"Mmmmmmm...I think I could get to like these" says Mike from the Leicestershire Joint Twinning Association, as Christine and Jo clearly share his view (and taste!).

Mike             Christine & Jo

It really is the last one!

"Oh, alright then Rosemary, you win - there's just this one left!"

MERRY END
and 'thanks John'
