Sage Cross Methodist Church, Melton Mowbray was the venue for the Holocaust Memorial Day Exhibition on Saturday 27th January 2001. Reverend Bill Anderson welcomed in excess of a hundred visitors during the course of the day and lady members of the congregation supplied refreshments.

Visitors were invited to take one of a supply of stones and pebbles and place them beneath the remembrance candle in the traditional Jewish way before performing individual acts of silence and prayer.

Additional exhibits by Twinning Association member Richard Winters formed a supplemental display consisting of many photographs taken by him at Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp during his service there with Royal Signals from 1948 to 1950 together with a large collection of books, guides and newspaper cuttings relevant to Belsen gathered over a period of 50 years.
