INTERNET COOKS and CHEFS
The combined effect of
practical Town Twinning, Sister Cities relationships,
the recent International Food Fayre held in Melton Mowbray,
mutual conviviality and the human requirement to EAT
brought about the idea of this Cyberspace Cookbook.
Much has been written about eating and much has yet to be written about eating.
"That a man should eat and drink and enjoy himself, in return for all his labours, is a gift of God" (Eccl. 3.13.) but remember the two Rules: "Eat an' drink measurely , an' defy the mediciners" on the basis of "Feasting is the physician's harvest".
Cookbooks are published in universal profusion: basic, elementary, detailed, extensive, amateur, professional, specialist - everything from simple "how to" on modern food packaging to the heights of le cordon-bleu - but here we will attempt to be different, and serve as a meeting place and exchange for items of the culinary art which give us pleasure, and which you may care to share with us.
Naturally we look forward to further recipes to publish on these pages, together with any hints and tips and of course comments on any of the suggestions made here.
The pages are arranged in the order of Melton Mowbray, Kapelle, Sochaczew and Clarksville and are accessed from the relevant buttons alongside. Please feel free to copy and distribute as you wish.
Please appreciate that this section of the Melton Twinning web site is much under development and requires input from our other twin towns as well as from Melton Mowbray itself -
some of the links are therefore pointing to as yet unlaid tables and we are getting hungry!!
bon appétit!
Mijn complimenten aan de chef!
